    Shall I ask for social insurance or commericial insurance?

    I got a contract from a school in China. They mentioned they will pay the social insurance when i join them. However they will deduct like 1KRMB per month in my side.

    I wont stay in China for a lifelong term, and is useful to pay for the social insurance?

    Just follow the local policy. As for the 1K deduction, it will be sent back to you in case you will cancel the social insurance when you wont work in China.

    As far as I know, in some provinces, social insurance is compulsory.
